SPOTLIGHT: April 2024

Dear School Community,

As we approach the final 36 days of the school year, our calendar is full of events and activities. While there are many things happening, I would like to highlight a few key events that are particularly noteworthy.

Our DP 2 students are currently in the midst of their final exams. We wish each of them well as they complete their International Baccalaureate journey. After the exams, we look forward to celebrating their achievements at the Graduation Ceremony scheduled for May 17th. Please note that classes will end early on that day to allow for the preparations and ceremony. The graduation ceremony will begin at 15:30 in the gymnasium. Secondary classes will end at 14:45 and Primary classes at 15:00, while the ELC and ISCC schedules will remain unchanged.

This week is also our Book Week. The highlight of the week will be a Book Fair on Thursday 2nd May, where students will have the opportunity to purchase new English books. Each class will visit the fair with their teacher and parents are warmly invited to come along and browse the selection as the fair will be open until 4pm.

Looking ahead to May, our students from Primary and the Early Learning Centre have been busy rehearsing for a play to be performed at the end of May; more information will be shared soon, so that you can mark your calendars and join us for this delightful showcase of the talents of our young performers. We are also excited about the camps for the Grades 2, 3 and 4 students, which promise to be enriching experiences for our students.

As we celebrate these school events, let us also acknowledge the upcoming Swiss Mother’s Day on 12 May and Father’s Day on 2 June. On these special days, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to all parents for their tireless efforts and the incredible work they do at home. We are proud to be your partner in your child’s educational journey and wish you a wonderful celebration.

Finally, please mark your calendars for the annual farewell picnics. These will take place on 14th June for Primary and Secondary and 20th June for the Early Learning Centre. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and say goodbye before the summer break. More details will be announced closer to the date.

We appreciate your continued support and participation in the vibrant community life of our school. These events are not only milestones in the lives of our students, but also cherished memories in the making.
