Dear ISSH Community,
As the calendar year comes to a close, it is almost inevitable not to look back and reflect on all that we have accomplished together. This year has been filled with milestones that we can all be proud of as a community and I will only name a few:
One significant highlight was celebrating the 25th anniversary of our school at the Summer Fair in August – a moment to honor our legacy and the strong foundation we stand on.
Our school has been independently reviewed by The Good Schools Guide, a respected resource for families choosing schools. This recognition highlights our community’s strengths and values, based on in-depth interviews with parents, students and school leadership, a campus visit, and academic analysis. We are honored to be featured—follow the link to read the review!
We have also completed the refurbishment and redesign of the Early Learning Centre, creating a more inspiring and supportive environment for our youngest learners. The final touches, such as redesigning the new entrance area by repolishing the historic door, will be completed in early spring 2025.
In April, we were accredited by the MSA for the High School Programme, marking a significant milestone for our school. Since then, our staff have worked tirelessly to integrate the MSA into our high school curriculum, ensuring a seamless and meaningful implementation. This initiative not only enriches our academic offerings but also opens doors to greater opportunities for student growth and success.
But what are we most proud of this year?
The strong partnerships we have built, the collaboration we have fostered, and the dedication of our educators to innovate and overcome challenges – all for the benefit of our students. As we approach the winter break, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect and celebrate the progress we have made together as a community.
As we reflect on the year, I encourage you to consider your own moments of pride and growth. What achievements stand out for you? What inspired you the most? And what were your best days this year? For me, my best days were those spent with family and friends – loud, messy, filled with laughter, and when nothing else mattered. These are the moments I treasure and hope to create more of in the coming year, and I hope you, too, find time to celebrate what brings you joy. Let us carry these reflections forward with renewed energy as we prepare for a bright and promising new year.
Thank you for your trust, collaboration, and support. It is this shared commitment that makes ISSH such a special place—one where students, families, and staff alike thrive as part of a caring and connected community.
Wishing you all a well-deserved break filled with rest, joy, and time with your loved ones. Here’s to a successful and inspiring 2025!
