Personalized Pathways to Success:
Flexible Learning for Every Future

At ISSH, we focus on a student-centered approach, empowering students to make skills- and interest-based decisions about their educational journey. Our curriculum offers the flexibility to choose between the full IB Diploma Programme (DP) or selected DP Courses, ensuring that students can tailor their studies to align with their strengths, passions, and career goals. This personalised approach encourages independent learning and fosters critical thinking, global awareness, and academic excellence.

Students also have the option to pursue the ISSH High School Diploma, accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA). This pathway provides opportunities for those aiming for applied sciences universities in Europe, foundation programmes in the UK, or non-selective universities in the USA. Our goal is to ensure every student can navigate an academic path that best supports their aspirations and future success.

OUR CURRICULUM

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is a rigorous two-year curriculum for students aged 16 to 19, designed to prepare them for university and beyond. The core of the DP includes Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS), alongside six subject groups that promote both breadth and depth of knowledge. Students explore topics across languages, humanities, sciences, mathematics, and the arts, tailoring their studies to their strengths and interests. The programme emphasises critical thinking, research, intercultural understanding, and independent learning, with assessments recognised by universities worldwide.

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) Courses at ISSH offer flexibility, allowing students to focus on subjects they are passionate about and excel in. Unlike the full IB Diploma, which requires six subjects (three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level), the DP Courses pathway offers students the opportunity to take specific subjects at Standard Level without the additional requirements of TOK, EE, and CAS. This pathway is equally challenging but allows students to prioritise subjects aligned with their strengths and career goals.

The ISSH High School Diploma (HSD), accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA), provides students with a recognised qualification to pursue higher education in applied sciences in Europe, Foundation Programmes in the UK, or non-selective U.S. Universities. HSD students select six subjects from the IB Diploma Programme offerings, all at Standard Level, with the option to take Higher Level (HL) courses upon request. All students complete Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS), and have the option to take Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and the Extended Essay (EE) as electives.
