A message from the Head of School

At ISSH we are always striving to create a welcoming, connected and supportive community for our families. Recently, we have undertaken some exciting initiatives to strengthen these connections, refine our identity and make our school environment even more welcoming.

You may have noticed some changes around campus, starting with updates to the main hall of the Logierhaus. We have begun updating the area by taking down the class pictures as part of an effort to create a more cohesive look and we will soon be refinishing the wood panelling. As we make these adjustments, look out for new features in the entrance area, including a world map that reflects the international spirit of our school. Our aim is to make our space as welcoming and vibrant as our school community.

In addition to the physical updates, we held focus groups with parents, students and staff to gain insight into their experiences at ISSH. The parent focus group, led by our creative agency Interactive Schools, took place on 8 November and was part of a wider project to raise the profile of our school and redesign our website. We discussed what attracted families to ISSH in the first place, how happy they are here and what their hopes are for the future. This open and honest exchange gave us invaluable guidance on our next steps. Please follow this link if you would like to see their portfolio: https://www.interactiveschools.com/

We also had the opportunity to work with The Good Schools Guide, who approached us to feature us in their trusted publication. Their reviewer, Camilla Tregonning, spoke directly to parents and students, gathering first-hand insights that show the authentic character of our community. This is a fantastic opportunity to increase our visibility and we’re thrilled to have the ISSH community represented on such a respected platform. You can find out more about the platform here:  Good Schools Guide.

Each of these initiatives brings us closer to building an even stronger and more cohesive ISSH experience. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who shared their time, insights, and enthusiasm—your contributions are what make this community so special!

We look forward to sharing the results of these efforts as they unfold.
