Dear ISCC and ELC Parents,

As we conclude this incredible school year, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your support, understanding, and the warm relationships we have built together. Your involvement and commitment have truly enriched our community, and we are thankful for the privilege of working with your wonderful children and you as parents.

To those families and children who are moving on, we bid you a fond farewell. We cherish the moments we have shared and wish you all the best in your future. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

For our children continuing on to Grade 1 at ISSH, we are filled with optimism and excitement for the new school year ahead. We are confident it will be a year of growth, learning, and joy. We are also eager to share updates on new staff members who will join our dedicated team, ensuring that we continue to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for your children.

We are deeply grateful to be part of such a vibrant international community. Your trust and partnership mean the world to us, and we look forward to many more wonderful experiences together.

Dear Primary Community

During Library class, a couple of our grade 1 students eagerly expressed an interest in reading aloud to their peers. Seeing their enthusiastic faces, teachers reflected on the remarkable progress they have made since joining us in August. The sparkle in their eyes as they read aloud was a testament to their sense of accomplishment. This is the greatest reward for any educator: witnessing a child’s growth before our very eyes.

Teachers felt a similar sense of achievement while analysing the results of the ISA (International Standardised Assessment) tests taken by our grade 3, 4, and 5 students in May. In most subject areas, our children outperformed the world average. This success is a direct result of the daily dedication and hard work we as educators invest alongside the parents’ support.

Please join us in congratulating your children and yourselves for this year’s accomplishments, this is a tremendous team effort throughout the school year.

Have a wonderful summer vacation!

Dear Students and Parents,

As the school year draws to a close, it is a time of mixed emotions for secondary students. For many, it is a period of reflection, celebration, and anticipation. Reflecting on the past year, students can take pride in their academic achievements, personal growth, and the challenges they have overcome. Whether it is mastering a difficult subject, participating in extracurricular activities, or developing new friendships, each student has made strides in their unique journey.

The end of the year is also a time for celebration. It is an opportunity to acknowledge hard work and dedication, both individually and collectively. School events such as award ceremonies, talent shows, and farewell parties create lasting memories and reinforce the sense of community that makes school life so enriching. These moments are essential in fostering a sense of belonging and accomplishment.

As the school year draws to a close, we would like to highlight the incredibly successful Art4Art auction during the PA Farewell Cake and Coffee on Friday 14th June.

As part of their unit on Abstract Art, students in Grade 9 and 10 knew their summative final artwork would go on auction for the ISSH community to bid on. There was a huge variety of work from Jackson Pollock inspired art, grand prix based abstract work to abstract flowers. We also sold cards which had prints of the art works on. Each class across the school visited the exhibition and many bids were made on the different pieces. We moved to a live bidding war for the most popular pieces and are incredibly proud to announce that the total amount raised was 655 CHF. A huge thank you to all the students who participated and to the children, staff and parents who bid on the art work.

As we bid farewell to the past year, let us carry forward the lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the memories created. May the new year bring fresh opportunities, continued success, and personal growth for every student! Wishing you all a wonderful, well-deserved break filled with joy and relaxation!
