This is the mission statement for The Family Hub at The International School of Schaffhausen. A place at the centre of the community for all families to come together; to connect with other families, share our experiences and expertise with others and support our families to learn and grow.

The Family Hub started life as an International Playgroup in March 2018 and was created by some of our parents here at ISSH. We wanted to create an International community which would welcome any families in the local area to come along and meet other families, whilst the children had a secure environment to play and grow. This quickly became full and by March 2019, we were already thinking about the next steps. This is when the Family Hub was created and opened in August 2019.

After a couple of interesting years during the pandemic, where we had an online playgroup every week, we are now creating more and more opportunities for our families including parent workshops, our Family Moments events and our Discovery afternoons. Our parent workshops are taking place throughout the year and are led by many of our friends in the community. Our Discovery afternoons provide an opportunity for students who attend local school to come and develop their English and learn through their own inquiries.
